We’d love to welcome you to Spurriers House Café.

Come on in and let yourself be charmed with the loving restoration of the gorgeous Victorian building that houses our Café. We’ve maintained all the traditional Victorian features, combining those with colourful, contemporary furniture and accessories.

Our bright, spacious, front-of-house area has easy access to counter service, and then you make yourself comfortable in the warm, welcoming seating area with full-length windows and feature lighting.

There’s plenty of space to dine outdoors on our terraced area, with its custom-built benches and seating – and lots of room for buggies and wheelchairs, too. Spurriers House is simply perfect for al fresco dining: enjoy our delicious food while you relax and appreciate the outstanding views of Green Flag awarded parkland.

And of course, you’ll always find water on the terrace for your thirsty dogs – as well as some little treats inside the cafe. Just ask our staff!

Our café is a welcome addition to Harlow Town Park, adding a great deal to the local community and perfect for people attending events and activities in the park, visiting Pets Corner, or simply coming to the park for a lovely day out. And if you need to get some work done, we have free WIFI as well as great coffee.

Whatever your reason to visit Spurriers House Café, you’ll find a delicious range of hot and cold food, all freshly prepared and cooked to order – take a peek at our menu and see for yourself! You’ll be pleased to know that we believe in using locally sourced produce and Fairtrade ingredients, wherever possible, too. As well as our regular menu, we offer daily dishes and freshly home-baked cakes – which change every day so there are always new treats in store!

Looking for a great cuppa? We insist on Rainforest Alliance Fresh Bean Coffee and all our staff are Barista trained, so you can enjoy the ultimate coffee experience. We only use Fairtrade Tea because it tastes better and we believe in supporting fairly traded produce.

On a sunny day, a visit to the park wouldn’t be the same without an ice cream. We serve Styles ice cream – a luxury farmhouse ice cream lovingly produced on a traditional farm in Exmoor and made with fresh locally-sourced Jersey milk, fresh West Country cream and no artificial colours or ingredients. It’s one of the country’s finest – and it comes in ten different flavours.

Spurriers House Café is ideally located in Harlow Town Park, which was designed by Dame Sylvia Crowe and opened in 1957. The park covers 164 acres and includes within it both Sensory and Walled Gardens, the Peace Wood, a paddling pool, bandstand, skate park, outdoor gym, adventure playground, and Pets Corner.

Pets Corner is a small and friendly open farm located in close proximity to our Café. It has a large selection of traditional farm animals – including still everyone’s favourites of rabbits and guinea pigs, chickens and ducks – as well as featuring more exotic animals such as reindeer, llamas and alpacas. Entrance is free but donations are always appreciated.

Harlow Town Park offers a host of events during the year, including Linkfest, the annual fireworks display, Christmas concerts, lots of activities for children and families, and much more. See The Café Hub for details.

Spurriers House Café is open all year round, except Christmas Day!

We look forward to seeing you there.
