We’d love to welcome you to Cedars Park Café.

Our café is the ideal setting for afternoon tea with friends, lazy all-day breakfasts, lunches, picnics in the park, walks with the family – and the family dog. Come and make the most of the acres of space where you can walk or run free in a safe, traffic-free zone.

Housed in the tastefully restored 18th century orangery in Cedars Park, Waltham Cross, our café is bright and spacious. Relish the superb parkland views, whether you’re lounging on our comfy leather sofas or enjoying our modern seating area, sampling our choice of hot drinks or savouring a tasty bite to eat.

There’s ample seating outdoors, too, with our terraced area welcoming seasoned outdoor types, dog walkers, or those who enjoy al fresco dining. We’ve got parasols to shade you from the sun – and water bowls for your thirsty dogs.

And if you do need a place to get some work done, hop onto our free WIFI. Combined with great coffee and an oh-so-relaxed space – think how productive you’ll be!

Feeling Peckish?

Our friendly staff are happy to help you choose from the delicious choices on our full and fabulous menu. All our food is freshly made to order using locally-sourced produce and Fairtrade ingredients where possible. Take a peek at our menu here.

And for your cuppa, we only use Fairtrade tea – because we believe it’s right and it tastes better, too. We insist on Rainforest Alliance fresh bean coffee and all our staff are Barista trained, so you can enjoy the ultimate coffee experience.

Time for a treat? Our great selection of homemade cakes, freshly made on the premises, is certain to tempt you. Or you could indulge in a delicious cream tea: our very own homemade fruit scones topped with local strawberry conserve and oodles of fresh cream, served with unlimited tea or coffee.

On a sunny day, a visit to the park wouldn’t be the same without an ice cream. We serve Styles ice cream – a luxury farmhouse ice cream lovingly produced on a traditional farm in Exmoor and made with fresh locally-sourced Jersey milk, fresh West Country cream and no artificial colours or ingredients. It’s one of the country’s finest – and it comes in ten different flavours.

Cedars Park is steeped in history, dating as far back as the early 1600s.

It was once the site of Theobalds Palace, a favoured residence of James I, and is now a Green Flag award parkland spanning more than 19 acres for us all to enjoy. Explore the woodland walks and formal gardens, discover the ancient monument and conservation area, and enjoy the ponds, trails and play maze, too.

A visit to Cedars Nature Centre, a family friendly small breeds zoo is certainly a must! Originally pets corner, this new facility now offers a range of birds, animals & reptiles, and it’s free to get in.

We can arrange guided walks around the park, followed by tea and cake in our café. You’ll need at least 8 of you, and will need to book in advance either at the café or via the website.

We also have a function room for hire all year round, with the option to order on-site catering from our range of menus, if you need a place to get colleagues or clients together. It’s also a great space for all sorts of get-togethers – parties, groups, baby showers, activities and more. Just click on the Function Room link below to find out more.

Cedars Park hosts a range of community events during the year – including Music in the Park, Teddy Bears Picnic and much more. If you’re interested in finding out what’s going on – and maybe joining in – do check out the details on The Café Hub page.

Don’t forget we are open everyday of the year, except Xmas day!

We look forward to seeing you there!
